RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-68


A resolution to accept funds from the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, for the recycling rebate allocation.


Whereas, the Metropolitan Government has received a recycling rebate in the amount of sixty seven thousand three hundred thirty one dollars ($67,331) from the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation for Solid Waste, Division of Community Assistance; and

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government desires to utilize the funds for various recycling projects;

Whereas, the State rebate program requires a local match of equal dollars; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The recycling rebate funds from The State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation for fiscal year 2003-2004, in the amount of sixty seven thousand three hundred thirty one dollars ($67,331), are hereby accepted.

Section 2. That the amount of sixty seven thousand three hundred thirty one dollars ($67,331) be provided for the purpose of providing the Metropolitan Government’s matching share of the program.

Section 3. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Metropolitan Department of Public Works in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied

Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
