RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-27

A resolution approving a grant agreement for a grant in the amount of $218,200.00 from the State of Tennessee Department of Health to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health for the provision of nutritious food to low-income women, infants and children who are vulnerable to inadequate nutrition.

Be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant agreement in the amount of $218,200.00 from the State of Tennessee Department of Health to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health for the provision of nutritious food to low-income women, infants and children who are vulnerable to inadequate nutrition, for a term beginning October 1, 2003, and ending September 30, 2004, which contract is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said contract.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Board of Health in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
