RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-116

A resolution approving a grant agreement by and between the Tennessee Department of Health, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, in an amount not to exceed $17,000 for improving cardiovascular health among at-risk populations in Davidson County.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That a grant agreement by and between the Tennessee Department of Health, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, in an amount not to exceed seventeen thousand dollars ($17,000) for improving cardiovascular health among at-risk populations in Davidson County, and for a term commencing on October 1, 2003, and extending through June 30, 2004, which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said agreement.

Section 2. The amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Department of Health in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
