RESOLUTION NO. RS99-90

A resolution accepting $19,563.00 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against R & R Express, Inc.

Whereas, on October 19, 1999, an employee of R & R Express, Inc. was responsible for a vehicular accident that caused damage to a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government that was being operated by Brenda Steinbrecker, an employee of the Department of Police; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in an amount not to exceed $19,563.00 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $19,563.00 in compromise and settlement of its claim against R & R Express, Inc.

Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
