RESOLUTION NO. RS99-85

A resolution appropriating the amount of 7,281,825 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of equipment, and for making repairs to buildings for various departments of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 8,820 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of audiovisual equipment and office equipment for Agricultural Extension.

Section 2: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 6,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Arts Commission.

Section 3: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 334,302 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment, computer hardware and software, office furniture and office equipment for Assessor of Property.

Section 4: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 1,189 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office equipment for Beer Board.

Section 5: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 103,800 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office equipment, computer equipment and furniture and fixtures for Clerk and Master.

Section 6: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 93,800 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of security system, office furnishings, office furniture, office equipment and computer equipment for Codes.

Section 7: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 6,252 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Community Education Alliance.

Section 8: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 80,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment, office equipment and Y2K upgrades for Council Staff.

Section 9: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 50,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of furniture and fixtures, office equipment and computer equipment for County Clerk.

Section 10: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 50,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment, office equipment, office renovation and computer equipment for Criminal Court Clerk.

Section 11: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 155,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Elections.

Section 12: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 170,398 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of imaging system for Employee Benefit Board.

Section 13: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 450,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for financial system for Finance.

Section 14: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 587,500 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs and Stahlman building elevator repairs for General Services.

Section 15: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 418,250 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment, office furniture, video equipment, court facility renovations and security system for General Sessions.

Section 16: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 14,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of video recording, monitoring and production equipment and computer equipment for Government Access.

Section 17: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 96,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of animal trucks and boxes for animal pickup for Health.

Section 18: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 17,800 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of historic markers, computers and office furniture for Historical Commission.

Section 19: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 183,003 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment and computer software for JIS.

Section 20: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 185,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building improvements, furniture and fixtures, machines and equipment for Juvenile Court.

Section 21: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 260,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of law books, codes and supplements and computer equipment for Legal.

Section 22: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 725,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of books, building repairs, library furniture and equipment, and computer equipment for Libraries.

Section 23: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 75,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of disaster equipment for Mayor – Emergency Management.

Section 24: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 54,500 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office equipment, office furniture, computer program development and equipment for Metro Clerk.

Section 25: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 198,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building furnishings and fixtures and computer equipment for Municipal Auditorium.

Section 26: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 625,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs, ice machine equipment, playground equipment, ranger vehicles, computer equipment, park maintenance equipment, sound equipment, recreational equipment, park shelter, HVAC equipment, golf maintenance equipment and sportsplex equipment for Parks.

Section 27: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 25,825 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of carpet, phone system and printers for Personnel.

Section 28: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 243,250 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building renovation, office furniture, telephone system, office equipment and planning equipment for Planning.

Section 29: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 450,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of DP furniture, computer equipment, phone system upgrades, bike replacements and law enforcement equipment for Police.

Section 30: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 305,500 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building renovation and computer equipment for Public Defender.

Section 31: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 457,500 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of trucks, chipper, air compressors, parking patrol vehicles, and traffic light for Public Works.

Section 32: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 100,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of security equipment for Sheriff.

Section 33: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 273,462 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs and computer equipment for Social Services.

Section 34: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 2,862 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office furniture for Soil & Water.

Section 35: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 434,286 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of courthouse furniture, furnishings and equipment and computer equipment for State Trial Courts.

Section 36: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 9,400 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building renovation and fixtures, office equipment and computer equipment for Taxicab & Wrecker.

Section 37: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 31,126 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment, microfilm viewer and computer equipment and office equipment for Trustee.

Section 38: As required by Ordinance No. 086-1534, information justifying the appropriations is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheets" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 39: Where applicable, the Purchasing Agent shall procure the equipment or repairs specified in the attachments in accordance with the established purchasing procedures.

Section 40: The Director of Finance may schedule acquisitions authorized herein so as to ensure an appropriate balance in the Fund.

Section 41: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
