RESOLUTION NO. RS99-84

A resolution accepting $47,872.26 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against the estate of Dorothy B. Moore.

Whereas, on Dorothy B. Moore was admitted to Bordeaux Hospital on August 25, 1992; and,

Whereas, Ms. Moore received care from Bordeaux Hospital for approximately three years prior to her death; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $47,872.26 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $47,872.26 in compromise and settlement of its claim against the Estate of Dorothy B. Moore.

Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
