RESOLUTION NO. RS99-71

A resolution accepting $9,458.34 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Generali U.S. Branch, Stantum, LLC.

Whereas, on September 21, 1999, an employee of Stantam, LLC, was responsible for a vehicular accident that caused damage to a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government that was being operated by Officer Roy J. Dunaway; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $9,458.34 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $9,458.34 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Generali U.S. Branch & Stantam, LLC.

Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
