RESOLUTION NO. RS99-58

A resolution appropriating funds from increased revenue sources to the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation.

WHEREAS, additional funds (the "Funds") will be received during fiscal year 1999-2000 due to increased revenue derived from the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services for work necessary to conceal a sewer diverter structure constructed within the bounds of the Downtown Greenway property; and,

WHEREAS, the diverter structure will encroach on open space acquired by the Department of Parks and Recreation ("Parks Department") for the greenway; and,

WHEREAS, the Parks Department will use the Funds to build a wall and perform landscaping to effectively screen the diverter and ensure aesthetic compatibility with Greenway design standards; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to make an appropriation from this increased revenue to the Parks and Recreation departmental appropriation contained in FY 1999-2000 operating budget so as to cover the required expenses,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.

SECTION 1: That the following sum is hereby appropriated to the of Parks Department to the account listed below, which is in addition to those contained in the current Parks Department operating budget.

SECTION 2: That the above additional appropriation is to be funded from increased revenue sources to the account listed below based on a transfer from the Water and Sewer Extension & Replacement Fund (47335-65572000.507500).
