RESOLUTION NO. RS99-47

A resolution recognizing the 1999 Donelson American League 11-12 Year Old All Stars Baseball Team for their outstanding accomplishments.

WHEREAS, the Nashville community was proud and honored this year as the 1999 Donelson American League 11-12 Year Old All Stars Baseball Team finished first place and was named State Champions; and

WHEREAS, the team compiled an impressive record in 1999 of ten wins and one loss; and

WHEREAS, team members are Chris Beverly, Kenny Clay, Clay Cooper, Drew Denton, Ryan Gaines, Ryan Hill, Drew Jackson, Sean Jones, Brantley Merritt, Tyler Pittman, Denver Ramsey, Kris Russell, and Josh Tramel; and

WHEREAS, this talented team was directed by Manager Wayne Denton and Coaches Rob Gaines, Scott Merritt and Troy Tuttle; and

WHEREAS, by their performance the players and coaches have brought recognition to the Metropolitan Government area for not only their athletic abilities, but for their exceptional team play, their dedication, and their sportsmanship; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize the Donelson American League 11-12 Year Old All Stars Baseball Team for their outstanding accomplishments in 1999.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVENRMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as recognizing the 1999 Donelson American League 11-12 Year Old All Stars Baseball Team on being named State Champions.

SECTION 2. That the Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare certificates to be presented to each member of the team and to the coaching staff.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
