RESOLUTION NO. RS99-46

A resolution recognizing the 1999 Donelson American 10-Year Old All Stars Baseball Team for their outstanding accomplishments.

WHEREAS, the Nashville community was proud and honored this year as the Donelson American 10-Year Old All Stars Baseball Team compiled an impressive, undefeated record in both the state and district competition; and

WHEREAS, team members are Andrew Baskin, B. J. Boston, Devin Dillard, Chase Garrison, Johnny Grant, Taylor Hill, Bryan Jakes, John Johnson, Brad Jones, Thomas Neville, Chris Pierce, Alex Porter, Houston Reasonover, and Daniel Willingham; and

WHEREAS, this talented team was directed by Head Coach & Manager Don Baskin, and Assistant Coaches Darrell Dillard and Stan Pierce; and

WHEREAS, by their performance the players and coaches have brought recognition to the Metropolitan Government area for not only their athletic abilities, but for their exceptional team play, their dedication, and their sportsmanship; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize the Donelson American 10-Year Old All Stars Baseball Team for their outstanding accomplishments in 1999.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVENRMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as recognizing the 1999 Donelson American 10-Year Old All Stars Baseball Team for their outstanding accomplishments.

SECTION 2. That the Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare certificates to be presented to each member of the team and to the coaching staff.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
