RESOLUTION NO. RS99-44

A resolution honoring Wilson P. Burton, III upon receiving the Eagle Scout Award.

WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Award is one of the highest and most prestigious ranks that a Boy Scout can achieve; and

WHEREAS, Boy Scout Wilson P. Burton, III, a member of Varsity Scout Troop 99 of the Boy Scouts of America, received the coveted Eagle Scout Award at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor presentation ceremony on Sunday, September 19, 1999, at Harpeth Hills Church of Christ; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council honor Scout Wilson P. Burton, III for his outstanding accomplishments and upon receiving the rank of Eagle Scout.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as honoring Wilson P. Burton, III upon receiving the Eagle Scout Award.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff is requested to prepare a certificate to be presented to Scout Wilson P. Burton, III.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
