RESOLUTION NO. RS99-3

A resolution requesting the Metropolitan Planning Commission, the Metropolitan Traffic and Parking Commission, and the Metropolitan Board of Zoning Appeals to change their meeting hours.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission, the Metropolitan Traffic and Parking Commission, and the Metropolitan Board of Zoning Appeals hold their meetings during normal office hours; and

WHEREAS, the meetings of the Planning Commission, the Traffic and Parking Commission, and the Board of Zoning Appeals should be held at a time more convenient for the public; and

WHEREAS, the meetings should be changed from normal office hours to the evening hours for the convenience of the public.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOILTAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Metropolitan Planning Commission, the Metropolitan Traffic and Parking Commission, and the Metropolitan Board of Zoning Appeals to change their meeting hours from normal office ours to the evening hours for the convenience of the public.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to each member of the Planning Commission, the Traffic and Parking Commission, and the Board of Zoning Appeals.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

RESOLUTION NO. RS99-3

Mr. President:

I move to amend Resolution No. RS99-5 by amending Section 1 thereof by adding the following phrase at the end of the first sentence:

" beginning at 5:00 p.m. or after."
