Resolution No. RS99-29

A resolution approving an update to the Solid Waste Regional Plan for Davidson County, Tennessee.

Whereas, pursuant to Resolution R92-474, a Solid Waste Region ("the Region") was established for Davidson County; and

Whereas, pursuant to TCA Section 68-211-814 and Resolution R93-973, a Solid Waste Regional Plan was approved and submitted to the State Planning Office; and

Whereas, pursuant to TCA Section 68-211-814(a) such plan shall be revised every five years and submitted to the Department of Environment and Conservation for review and approval or disapproval; and

Whereas, such revisions must be reviewed and approved by the Metropolitan Council pursuant to TCA Section 068-211-815(b)(15);

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The update to the Davidson County Solid Waste Regional Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be and is hereby approved for submission to the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation pursuant to TCA Section 68-211-815(b)(15).

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
