RESOLUTION NO. RS99-15

A resolution approving a contract in the amount of $47,883.00 between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, and The National Health Care for the Homeless Council (NHHC) to provide an employee to the NHHC for the position of TennCare Shelter Enrollment Coordinator.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Health Department has agreed to provide The National Healthcare for the Homeless Council with a Health Department employee for up to forty (40) hours per week to serve as TennCare Shelter Enrollment Coordinator; and

WHEREAS, The National HealthCare for the Homeless Council has agreed to pay the Metropolitan Health Department the sum of $47,883.00 for said employee; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County that said contract be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that:

Section 1: That the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, and The National HealthCare for the Homeless Council for provision of a Metro Health Department employee to the NHHC to fill the position of TennCare Shelter Enrollment Coordinator in the amount of $47,883.00 and for a term beginning on July 1, 1999 and extending through June 30, 2000, which contract is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution, be, and the same is hereby, approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said contract.

Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
