RESOLUTION NO. RS99-12

A resolution approving a grant in an amount not to exceed $4,387,153.00 from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through the Metropolitan Health Department, for the provision of health services, including adolescent pregnancy initiative, central intake, children’s special services, community development services, community prevention initiatives for children, Families First, family planning services, grant-in-aid, health promotion, tobacco initiative, oral health, primary prevention services, rape prevention education, renal intervention program, STD Services, TennCare and TB Services, and others.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through the Metropolitan Health Department, for the provision of health services, which includes adolescent pregnancy initiative, central intake, children’s special services, community development services, community prevention initiatives for children, Families First, family planning services, grant-in-aid, health promotion program for tobacco initiative, oral health, primary prevention services, rape prevention education, renal intervention program, STD Services, TennCare, TB Services, and others, in an amount not to exceed $4,387,153.00, and for a term commencing on July 1, 1999 and extending through June 30, 2000, which grant is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
