RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1608


A resolution approving a contract from the Tennessee Department of Transportation Concerning ATIS Phase 1A--Signalized Intersection Improvements, Nashville, Davidson County LP Project 3218.


Whereas, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in recognition of the benefits to be received from ATIS Phase 1A—Signalized Intersection Improvements by the State of Tennessee, desires to cooperate with the Department; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

Whereas, the State of Tennessee, acting through its Department of Transportation, hereinafter referred to as the “Department” has allocated funds for the following project:

Local Project No. 3218
ATIS Phase 1A—Signalized Intersection Improvements
Nashville, Davidson County

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Metropolitan Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract by and between the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County providing for the ATIS Phase 1A—Signalized Intersection Improvements, LP Project No. 3218, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference, is hereby approved.

Section 2. The Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute future agreements necessary for the implementation and completion of Project No. LP 3218, which agreements shall become binding on the Metropolitan Government upon ratification by Resolution supported by 21 affirmative votes of the Metropolitan County Council.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
