RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1602
A resolution approving a grant from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Historical
Commission to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County,
acting through the Metropolitan Historical Commission for the NAPC Commissioner
Assistance and Mentoring Program.
Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Historical Commission, has awarded
a grant in an amount not to exceed three thousand dollars ($3,000) to The
Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through
the Metropolitan Historical Commission for NAPC Commissioner Assistance and
Mentoring Program; and
Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the grant from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Historical Commission to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through Metropolitan Historical Commission, in an amount not to exceed three thousand dollars ($3,000), for the NAPC Commissioner Assistance and Mentoring program, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That the sum of two thousand ($2,000) dollars be provided for the purpose of providing the Metropolitan Government’s matching share of the program.
Section 3. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Metropolitan Historical Commission in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
