RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1590
A resolution recognizing Mrs. Rosemary Stanley for her support of the Metropolitan
County Council.
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rosemary Stanley has retired from the Metropolitan Public School
System after more than 50 years as an outstanding teacher and educator; and
WHEREAS, in addition to her years of commitment and dedication to educating children, for the past eight years Mrs. Stanley has demonstrated affection for the Metropolitan Council as only a Mother could do; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Mrs. Rosemary Stanley for her support of all of its members for these past eight years, and, further, acknowledge Mrs. Stanley as the “Metro Council Mother”.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Mrs. Rosemary Stanley for her encouragement and support of the Members of the Metropolitan Council, and acknowledge her as the “Metro Council Mother”.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
