RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1561


A resolution appropriating $100,000 in Community Development Block Grant Funds for sidewalks and streetscape enhancements in the Maxwell Neighborhood Strategy Area.


WHEREAS, applications for the twenty-seventh, twenty-eighth and twenty-ninth years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. BL 2000-495, BL 2001-868 and BL 2002-1230; and

WHEREAS, the applications for the twenty-seventh, twenty-eighth and twenty-ninth years included funds allocated to the Maxwell Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $100,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for new sidewalks and other streetscape enhancements in the Maxwell Neighborhood Strategy Area.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That $100,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds be allocated for new sidewalks and other streetscape enhancements in the Maxwell Neighborhood Strategy Area:

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
