RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1559


A resolution recognizing and supporting the Isaac Litton High School Alumni Association for their efforts to raise private funds to renovate the Isaac Litton Gym for a community center for the Inglewood area.


WHEREAS, the Isaac Litton High School Alumni Association has started a project to rehabilitated the Isaac Litton Gym in order to provide a much needed community center for the Inglewood area; and

WHEREAS, the Isaac Litton High School Alumni Association has started raising private funds in order to rehabilitate the Isaac Litton Gym into a community center; and

WHEREAS, this community project would be of great benefit to the residents of the Inglewood area who are in need of a meeting place and community center; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes and commends the Isaac Litton High School Alumni Association project to rehabilitate the Isaac Litton Gym in order to provide a much needed Inglewood community center.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing and supporting the Isaac Litton High School Alumni Association for their efforts to raise private funds to renovate the Isaac Litton Gym for a community center for the Inglewood area.

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
