RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1542

A resolution approving an amendment to the lease agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Director of Public Property Administration for the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, and Martha O’Bryan Center, Inc. to extend the existing lease term.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Director of Public Property Administration for the Metropolitan Social Services Commission has negotiated an amendment to term of said lease from August 1, 2003 to July 31, 2004 at the current monthly rental rate of six hundred ($600) dollars, a copy of which is attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, Said lease was approved and accepted by the Metropolitan Council by ordinance (Bill No. 099-1558); and

WHEREAS, Bill No. 099-1558 provided that amendments to this bill shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes; and

WHEREAS, It is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment to lease Agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the amendment to the lease agreement entered into between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Martha O’Bryan Center, Inc., to lease office space at 711 South 7th Street, Nashville, TN 37206, as located on Exhibit A attached herein, which extends the lease term from August 1, 2003 to July 31, 2004 at the current monthly rental rate of six hundred ($600) dollars, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take affect from and after its passage, the welfare of
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
