RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1541

A resolution approving an amendment to an agreement between Tennessee State University and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission to provide support services for the Infant/Toddler Model Sites Training Sessions.

Whereas, Resolution No. RS2002-1266 approved a grant between Tennessee State University and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission to provide support services for the Infant/Toddler Model Sites Training Session during the fall of 2002; and

Whereas, the parties wish to amend the grant by increasing the grant amount from four thousand two hundred forty dollars ($4,240) to seven thousand two hundred forty ($7,240) dollars; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the amendment to the agreement between Tennessee State University and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission to provide support services for the Infant/Toddler Model Sites Training Session, which amendment increases the grant amount from four thousand two hundred forty dollars ($4,240) to seven thousand two hundred forty ($7,240) dollars, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to approve.

Section 2: That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Department of Social Services n the FY03 fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3: That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
