RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1537

A resolution approving a grant from the Tennessee Department of Health to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health for an array of programs and services including adolescent pregnancy, bioterroism, breast and cervical cancer, environmental health specialist, HIV-Aids early intervention and others.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Health and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, in an amount not to exceed six million six hundred eighty nine thousand six hundred fifty three dollars ($6,689,653) for an array of programs and services including adolescent pregnancy, bioterroism, breast and cervical cancer, environmental health specialist, HIV-Aids early intervention and others, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of twelve thousand ($12,000) dollars be provided from the department’s budget to provide Metro’s matching share.

Section 3. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Board of Health in the FY 04 fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
