RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1535

A resolution approving a grant agreement to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, in an amount not to exceed $487,100 to provide children with a healthy start through access to adequate prenatal and well child care.

Be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the grant agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, and the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to provide children with a healthy start through access to adequate prenatal and well child care, in an amount not to exceed $481,100.00, and for a term beginning on July 1, 2003 and extending through June 30, 2004, a copy of which is attached hereto and be made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Department of Health in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1535

Mr. President:
I move to amend Resolution No. RS2003-1535 by deleting the dollar amount “$481,100”, wherein it appears in Section 1, and substituting in lieu thereof the dollar amount “$487,100”.
