RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1534


A resolution approving an amendment to an EPA Grant Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, Pollution Control Division, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, for planning, developing, establishing, improving and implementing national primary and secondary air quality standards.


Be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the amendment to the EPA Grant Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, Pollution Control Division, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, for planning, developing, establishing, improving and implementing national primary and secondary air quality standards, for a term beginning October 1, 2002, and extending through September 30, 2003, which increases the grant award to four hundred forty three thousand five hundred ninety one dollars ($443,591) which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Board of Health to cover operations from October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That the sum of three hundred twenty one thousand four hundred forty five ($321,445) dollars be provided for the purpose of providing Metro’s cash match of the grant.

Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
