RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1527

A resolution authorizing the Mayor to submit an application for the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth State Supplement Juvenile Court Improvement Funds.

Whereas, the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth is accepting applications for the FY 2004 State Supplement Juvenile Court Improvement Funds; and,

Whereas, the Metropolitan Juvenile Court is eligible to participate in the grant program; and,

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted; and,

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to submit an application for the FY 2004 State Supplement Juvenile Court Improvement Funds, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.

Section 2. That funds for any required match of dollars received shall be provided through the budgets of the participating department.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
