RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1522

A resolution approving Amendment No. 002 extending a grant from the Secretary of State, Tennessee State Library and Archives, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library for interlibrary loans.

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, through the Secretary of State, Tennessee State Library and Archives wishes to amend a grant to extend it for a third year in the amount of Three Thousand One Hundred Forty-Three Dollars ($3,143) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Nashville Public Library; and

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government that the grant be so amended.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Amendment No. 002 extending for a third year the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Secretary of State, Tennessee State Library and Archives and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, in the amount of Three Thousand One Hundred Forty-Three Dollars ($3,143), a copy of which amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the amount of this grand is hereby appropriated to the Nashville Public Library in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues received.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
