RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1516


A resolution requesting the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to contribute $10,000 for a reward for information leading to the finding and return of Tabitha Tuders.


WHEREAS, 13-year-old Tabitha Tuders was last seen by her parents on the morning of April 29, 2003; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Police Department has classified Tabitha Tuders as missing and continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding her disappearance in an effort to locate her whereabouts; and

WHEREAS, there is currently a $10,000 reward for information leading to finding Tabitha Tuders; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Government contribute an additional $10,000 for a reward for information leading to finding Tabitha Tuders.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Metropolitan Government to contribute $10,000 for a reward for information leading to the finding and return of Tabitha Tuders.

Section 2. That the Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to Mayor Bill Purcell and to the Director of Finance.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
