RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1507


A resolution recognizing Dallas Woodrow Taylor, Jr.


WHEREAS, Dallas Taylor; was the keynote speaker at the 37th Annual Dinner for the Alcohol & Drug Council of Middle Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, Dallas Taylor, former drummer, of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young spoke to those in recovery, and to those who may need to be; about addiction and the freedom from it; and

WHEREAS, Dallas Taylor is an author and accredited counselor who works with addiction and recovery; and

WHEREAS, through his work with recovering addicts both inside and outside of the music business, Dallas has helped give back to the community which has given him so much; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Dallas Taylor for his eighteen years of being sober and moving forward with his life.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Dallas Woodrow Taylor, Jr.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Dallas W. Taylor, Jr.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
