WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in recognition of the benefits to be received from the installation of Central Signal System and Field Software Maintenance and Integration, ITS Integration FY01 by the State of Tennessee, desires to cooperate with the Tennessee Department of Transportation; and

WHEREAS, It is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved; and

WHEREAS, The Federal Government has allocated funds for the following project:

Local Project No. 3355
Central Signal System and Field Maintenance and Integration
Nashville, Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLTAN COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the contract by and between the Tennessee Department of Transportation and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County providing for the Central Signal System and Field Software Maintenance and Integration, LP Project No. 3355, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference, is hereby approved.

SECTION 2. That the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute future agreements necessary for the implementation and completion of Project No. LP 3355, which agreements shall become binding on The Metropolitan Government upon ratification by Resolution supported by 21 affirmative votes of the Metropolitan Council.

SECTION 3. That The Metropolitan Government will use funds amounting to $158,723 from fund BU 42493100.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
