WHEREAS, Ordinance No. BL 2002 - 1230 specified programs to utilize the 2003 Housing and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG Funds); and

WHEREAS, certain activities are, or soon will be ready to begin expenditures of the allocated funds;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency is authorized to expend and/or transfer to be expended 2003 CDBG funds in the following amounts for the following purposes:

a. General Administration                          $ 549,139
b. Planning and Urban Environmental Design    434,319
c. Rehabilitation (Rehabilitation Loans,         1,497,652
     Emergency Rehabilitation)
d. Rental Rehabilitation                                274,570
e. Acquisition of Real Property                      399,374
f. Relocation                                               49,922
g. Economic Development                            324,491
h. Affordable Housing Assistance                   164,742
i. Youth Initiatives Program                          349,452
j. Civic Design Center Assistance                   100,000
k. Section 108 Loan Repayment                     400,000
                                               Total     $4,543,661

The remaining funds will be appropriated by resolution as plans are completed and filed.

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
