RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1491


A resolution appropriating $10,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for Pride Revive Summer Camp in the Edgehill Neighborhood Strategy Area.

WHEREAS, applications for the twenty-sixth, twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. BL 99-69, BL 2000-495 and BL 2001-868; and

WHEREAS, the applications for the twenty-sixth, twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth years included funds allocated to the Edgehill Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, the Edgehill Citizens Advisory Committee has received a request from Pride Revive, a community based non-profit, to operate a Summer Program in the Edgehill Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, the Edgehill Citizens Advisory Committee has recommended the use of $10,000 to fund the Pride Revive Summer Camp for years 2003 and 2004; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That $10,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Edgehill Neighborhood Strategy Area be used to fund the Pride Revive Summer Camp for years 2003 and 2004.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
