PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT #5

Section 11.301 of Article 11, Chapter 3 of the Charter of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County shall be amended, by amending Appendix Three relating to the electric power board as follows:

By adding the following provision at the end of paragraph 10 of Article 42:

“Notwithstanding the foregoing provision to the contrary, the electric power board shall be required to submit its annual operating budget to the metropolitan council for approval.”

This amendment would require the Electric Power Board to submit its annual operating budget to the Metropolitan Council for approval.
