RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1462

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Agriculture, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for the inspection, reporting and enforcement of retail food stores in Davidson County.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant previously approved by the Metropolitan Council (RS2000-169) and amended (RS2002-1063) by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Agriculture, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, in amount not to exceed three hundred seventy nine thousand dollars ($379,000) is hereby amended by increasing the total grant four hundred thirty thousand nine hundred seventy nine dollars and fifty cents ($430,979.50), for a term of January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2004, for the inspection, reporting and enforcement of retail food stores in Davidson County, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Board of Health in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
