RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1455
A resolution appropriating $50,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for demolition and environmental abatement of structures located at the intersection of Jefferson Street and 14th Avenue North.
WHEREAS, the application for the twenty-eighth year of the Community Development
Block Grant program was approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance
No. BL2001-868; and
WHEREAS, the application for the twenty-eighth year included funds allocated for the Jefferson Street Commercial District; and
WHEREAS, plans showing proposed improvements at the intersection of Jefferson Street and 14th Avenue North include a new non-profit Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. That $50,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated for the Jefferson Street Commercial District be appropriated for demolition and environmental abatement of structures located at the intersection of Jefferson Street and 14th Avenue North.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
