RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1430

A resolution recognizing Cathy M. Rediker for her involvement with TALS – Legal Professionals of Tennessee.

WHEREAS, Cathy M. Rediker served from 2002-2003 as President of TALS -- Legal Professionals of Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, during her time as President Cathy Rediker used her vision, skills and energy in many initiatives that has brought change and great benefits to the association; and

WHEREAS, TALS – Legal Professionals of Tennessee is a tri-level organization that was formed in 1961 with the chartering of three chapters, although Nashville did not formally join until 1972; and

WHEREAS, TALS is dedicated to carry on a program for the furtherance of education to those engaged in legal work to cooperate with attorneys, judges, and bar associations in stimulating high order of professional standards and ethics among those persons engaged as support staff in private law offices, trust companies, various courts, and municipal and governmental agencies; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Cathy M. Rediker for her leadership, direction and contributions to TALS -- Legal Professionals of Tennessee.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Cathy M. Rediker for her involvement with TALS – Legal Professionals of Tennessee.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Cathy M. Rediker.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
