RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1420


A resolution approving a fourth amendment to a grant from the Tennessee Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health for an array of services including Health Promotion services and West Nile Virus research.


Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant previously approved by the Metropolitan Council (RS2002-1070) and amended (RS2002-1215, RS2003-1331 and RS2003-1355) by and between the Tennessee Department of Health, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, in an amount not to exceed seven million six hundred fifty eight thousand nine hundred seven dollars ($7,658,907) is hereby further amended by increasing the total grant award to seven million seven hundred twenty six thousand two hundred forty seven dollars ($7,726,247) for an array of services including, but not limited to increase in funding for Health Promotion services and West Nile Virus research while decreasing funding in Children’s Special Services-Parents Encouraging Parents and the Antibiotic Baseline Survey, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Board of Health in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
