RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1417


A resolution appropriating $325,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for community recreational improvements at Murrell School and the acquisition of streetscape improvements in the Edgehill Neighborhood Strategy Area.


WHEREAS, applications for the twenty seventh, twenty eighth, and twenty ninth years of the Community Development Block Grant program was approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. BL2000-495, BL2001-868, and BL2002-1230; and

WHEREAS, the applications for the twenty seventh, twenty eighth, and twenty ninth years included funds allocated to the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $325,000 has been recommended for community recreational improvements at Murrell School and the acquisition of streetscape improvements in the Edgehill Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, plans for the above referenced projects are available for review at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That $325,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Edgehill Neighborhood Strategy Area be appropriated for community recreational improvements at Murrell School and the acquisition of streetscape improvements in the Edgehill Neighborhood Strategy Area.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1417

Mr. President:

I move to amend Resolution No. RS2003-1417 by deleting the phrase "Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area", wherein it appears in the second recital clause, and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase "Edgehill Neighborhood Strategy Area".
