RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1409


A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the Greater Nashville Regional Council, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for personal care services to eligible persons.


Whereas, Resolution No. RS2002-1267 approved a grant from the Greater Nashville Regional Council to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, for personal care services for eligible persons; and

Whereas, the parties wish to amend said grant to increase the grant amount by one thousand ($1,000) dollars and to add the relative caregiver support component; and,

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Section 1: That the amendment to the grant from the Greater Nashville Regional Council to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, for personal care services for eligible persons, which amendment increases the grant by one thousand ($1,000) dollars and adds the relative caregiver support component, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said amendment.

Section 2: That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Department of Social Services Commission in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied

Section 3: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
