RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1400

A resolution requesting Governor Phil Bredesen and the Tennessee General Assembly to name the Citizens Plaza Building the “Harold Love Building”.

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to name the Citizens Plaza Office Building, owned by the State of Tennessee, to honor the distinguished service of Harold Love, who faithfully served in the State Legislature and also served the community at large.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting Governor Phil Bredesen and the Tennessee General Assembly to name the Citizens Plaza Office Building the “Harold Love Building”.

SECTION 2. That the Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to Governor Phil Bredesen and to the members of the Davidson County Delegation of the Tennessee General Assembly.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
