RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1388

A resolution approving a grant from the Frist Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Historical Commission for its 2003 internship program.

Whereas, the Frist Foundation has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed three thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Historical Commission for its 2003 internship program; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant from the Frist Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through Metropolitan Historical Commission, in an amount not to exceed three thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500), for its 2003 internship program, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
