RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1381

A resolution accepting residual funds in the amount of $30,000 from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the provision of Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program Services.

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government applied for residual funds from the FY 2000 Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program, to be used for computer equipment and software and that application was approved by Resolution No. RS2003-1340; and

Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth has awarded the residual funds grant in the amount of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to be used for the purchase of equipment by the Juvenile Court of Davidson County; and

Whereas, it is deemed to be in the best interest of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and its citizens that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant in the amount of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for residual funds from the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program Services, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County shall provide a cash match of three thousand three hundred thirty three dollars ($3,333).

Section 3. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Department of the Juvenile Court in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
