RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1373

A resolution endorsing the Capital Plan for Schools.

WHEREAS the Metropolitan Council approved the Mayor’s Capital Plan on October 15, 2002; and

WHEREAS the Mayor’s Capital Plan included $50 million in funding for the first year of the Long Range Facilities Master Plan for Schools then under development by the Metropolitan Board of Public Education; and

WHEREAS the Metropolitan Board of Public Education has now adopted the Long Range Facilities Master Plan for Schools; and

WHEREAS the first year’s projects of the Facilities Master Plan are set forth in Exhibit A to this Resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby endorses the use of the funding approved in the Mayor’s Capital Plan for the capital projects as set forth in the attached Exhibit A.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
