RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1361

A resolution recognizing Amy Jean Crownover posthumous.


WHEREAS, on January 19, 2003, at Abintra Montessori School family, friends, and colleagues who were privileged to share the love and friendship of Amy Jean Crownover gathered to celebrate her memory; and

WHEREAS, Amy Jean Crownover is remembered with great affection, admiration and having a sense of humor; and

WHEREAS, she began her career teaching some twenty (20) years at Tennessee State University before embarking on her next journey as a nurse practitioner; and

WHEREAS, in addition to her teaching and then nursing responsibilities, she was also a loving wife to Steve Henry and a wonderful mother to Laura Henry; and

WHEREAS, having lived a life that was dedicated to unselfish service to many and securing the realization of the values which she cherished, Amy Jean Crownover has left an enduring impression on many; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Crownover’s passing leaves a hole in the lives of her family, church and those who worked with her; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council express their condolences to the family of Amy Jean Crownover at her passing.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Amy Jean Crownover posthumous.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to the family of Amy Jean Crownover.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
