RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1355

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant previously approved by the Metropolitan Council (RS2002-1070) and amended (RS2002-1215 and RS2003-1331) by and between the Tennessee Department of Health, Bureau of Health Services, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, in an amount not to exceed seven million five hundred twenty eight thousand sixty one dollars ($7,528,061) is hereby further amended by increasing the total grant award to seven million six hundred fifty eight thousand nine hundred seven dollars ($7,658,907) for an array of services including adding fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for a syphilis elimination project; one hundred ten thousand dollars ($110,000) for home visiting; funding for two public health nurses; and decreasing funding for TB epidemiological studies by fifty three thousand dollars ($53,000), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan
Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant is hereby appropriated to the Board of Health in the current fiscal year budget, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
