RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1331

A resolution approving a second amendment to a grant from the Tennessee Department of Health, Bureau of Health Services to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health for an array of services including breast and cervical cancer research, environmental specialist network and adolescent pregnancy.


Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract previously approved by Metropolitan Council (RS2002-1070) and amended (RS2002-1215) by and between the Tennessee Department of Health, Bureau of Health Services, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, granting an amount not to exceed seven million five hundred twenty eight thousand sixty one dollars ($7,528,061.00) flowing from the United States Department of Health and Human Services is hereby amended by increasing the total grant award to seven million five hundred fifty one thousand nine hundred seven dollars ($7,551,907) for an array of services including breast and cervical cancer research and an environmental specialist network; increasing the funding for adolescent pregnancy and decreasing the funding for bioterrorism, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
