RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1330

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the Tennessee Department of Health and Human Services, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health for the Healthy Start Program which provides access to adequate prenatal and well child care and promotes child development.


Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract previously approved by Metropolitan Council (RS2002-996) by and between the Tennessee Department of Health and Human Services and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, granting an amount not to exceed four hundred forty two thousand eight hundred dollars ($442,800) flowing from the United States Department of Health and Human Services is hereby amended by increasing the total grant award to four hundred eighty seven thousand one hundred dollars ($487,100) for the Healthy Start Program which provides access to adequate prenatal and well child care and promotes child development, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
