RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1325

Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed ninety seven thousand dollars ($97,000) to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for the Elderly Refugee Services Grant; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for the Elderly Refugee Services Grant, in an amount not to exceed ninety seven thousand dollars ($97,000), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
