RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1321
A resolution approving an amendment to the grant from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Criminal Justice Programs, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the provision of the Forensic Alternative Community Treatment Grant through the Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office as provided by the Edward Byrne Memorial Formula Grant Program.
Whereas, Ordinance No. BL2000-413 approved grant contract no. Z9908826600 from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Criminal Justice Programs, in an amount not to exceed two hundred fifty-three thousand six hundred sixty-eight dollars ($253,668) for a period of 48 months to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to be used and maintained by the Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office for the provision of the Forensic Alternative Community Treatment Grant; and
Whereas, the parties wish to amend said grant by increasing the grant award by two thousand six hundred twenty five dollars ($2,625) for a total grant award of two hundred fifty six thousand two hundred ninety three dollars ($256,293); and,
Whereas, it is
to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and
Davidson County that this amendment be accepted.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government
of Nashville and Davidson County.
Section 1. The amendment to grant contract no. Z9908826600 from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Criminal Justice Programs, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office, for the provision of the Forensic Alternative Community Treatment Grant, which amendment increases the grant award by two thousand six hundred twenty five dollars ($2,625) for a total grant award of two hundred fifty six thousand two hundred ninety three dollars ($256,293), a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said amendment.
Section 2. That
the match requirement of twenty one thousand one hundred thirty nine dollars
($21,139) be increased by eight hundred seventy five dollars ($875) and such
matching funds are included in the budget of the Metropolitan Public Defender’s
Office.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption,
the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County
requiring it.
