RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-1311
A resolution approving an amendment to a contract between the Metropolitan Government
and The Vanderbilt Child & Family Policy Center for services in developing
the Council Afterschool Initiative.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has previously adopted Ordinance No. BL2002-974, which authorized the Metropolitan Government to contract with The Child & Family Policy Center of Vanderbilt University for services in developing the Council Afterschool Initiative, providing such contract must be approved by resolution adopted by the council; and
WHEREAS, a contract between the Metropolitan Government and The Vanderbilt Child & Family Policy Center was approved by Resolution No. RS2002-1104; and
WHEREAS, the contract approved by Resolution No. RS2002-1104 provides that the term of the contract shall expire not later than December 31, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government and The Vanderbilt Child & Family Policy Center desire to extend the term of the contract so that it shall expire not later than June 30, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby approves and authorizes the execution of an amendment to the contract between the Metropolitan Government and The Vanderbilt Child & Family Policy Center to extend the term of the contract so that it shall expire not later than June 30, 2003, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and is incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. That this Resolution
shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan
Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
